We are looking forward to seeing Jesus “come in the clouds” in the future, but have God and Jesus came in the clouds before? Indeed they have, and the reasons we do not realize it are 3-fold:
- We are not aware of all the uses of “coming in the clouds” in the bible or what it means in context.
- We have not studied earth’s history.
- We were taught the seminary-school-false-doctrine of futurism written by Jesuit Roman Catholic priests in the 1700’s which incorrectly states that we are still waiting on Jesus’ kingdom, and that calls the LAND of Jerusalem the entire WORLD (the Greek word for “world” in the Strong’s Concordance is often ge which means “land” or “region” — kosmos is the entire world/orderly arrangement).
This study will cover how and when God and Jesus have came in the clouds in the past and will come in the future. We will identify what scripture passages of prophecy have already happened, and the prophecy passages that are still yet to come.
And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.Mark 9:7 (KJV)
Meaning of Coming in the Clouds
Clouds (and lightnings) signify the strength of God and Jesus, and usually in the form of punishment on the wicked. Whenever we see God or Jesus coming in/with/on clouds, it is how we see their might and power from the earth. God is an unseen Spirit so Jesus is Spirit also (John 4:24).
When Jesus/God comes in the future, we aren’t going to see a man on a horse in the sky…. Jesus is not going to look like something from a sci-fi movie. Because God and Jesus is/are Spirit, our unseen spirit will KNOW their unseen Spirit. The form they take when coming to earth in wrath is in a turbulent sky with lightnings, thunder and great earthquakes. The people in Old Testament times recognized these events as being God, but the deceivers of our day want us to be looking for a human riding a horse across the sky sometime in the future.
When Jesus returned to earth after His resurrection, people saw Him as He had previously appeared on the earth – in His glorified fleshly body — so they would recognize Him. Jesus stayed on the earth for 40 days which is why He needed His renewed body of flesh. The flesh is only for this earthly realm.
When Jesus returns as the Bridegroom and the Almighty God returns in wrath in the future, He will destroy the entire earth (details here). He will not dwell in earthly elements as He did after His resurrection. The living saints’ spirits will be caught up in the sky with His Spirit, then earth will cease to exist. For this reason, I do not expect Jesus to appear as a flesh and bone human man at His future coming because His elect will recognize Him through our spirit (the study on soul, spirit and flesh is here).
All Uses of God and Jesus in the Clouds
Here are the “cloud” passages we will be covering in this study with their Strong’s Concordance Dictionary numbers:
There are 3 different Strong’s words in the Old Testament that refer to clouds as a power.
- Psalm 68:34 (H7834)
- Jeremiah 4:13 (H6051)
- Daniel 7:13 (H6050)
H6051 and H6050 are the same word, just the latter is Chaldee (an Aramaic vernacular) and the former is Hebrew.
- Matthew 26:64 and 24:30 (G3507)
- Mark 13:26 and 14:62 (G3507)
- Luke 21:27 (G3507)
- 1 Thessalonians 4:17 (G3507)
- Revelation 1:7 (G3507)
Time-frame: PAST. A Psalm of David, sometime around 1042 BC.
Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.Psalm 68:34 (KJV)
This verse tells us clearly and plainly that God’s strength is in the clouds. This phrase is also translated as “His power is in the skies.” God’s power doesn’t come from the clouds, but we see it manifested in the clouds.
The word clouds here is shachaq — Strong’s H7834:
From H7833 (primary root meaning to pulverize, wear down); a powder (as beaten small); by analogy a thin vapor; by extension the firmament: – cloud, small dust, heaven, sky.
I do not know how they went from “wearing down by pulverization to a powder” to a cloud or sky, but that is the explanation according to the Strong’s Concordance. God’s direct energy weapon is His spirit power. 🙂 Everything in the world is made from dust and will return to dust.
Time-frame: PAST. Around 612 BC. This is God’s judgment on Judah for their adultery, depravity and injustice.
Behold, he [God] shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled.Jeremiah 4:13 (KJV)
We see God’s power in the clouds, His mode of travel (chariots) is in a hurricane or tornado (also translated whirlwind), with movement (horses) that is swifter (more decisive) than eagles.
The word clouds here is ânân — Strong’s H6051:
From H6049 (primitive root meaning to cover); a cloud (as covering the sky), that is, the nimbus or thunder cloud: – cloud (-y).
This Strong’s definition is explaining that God’s power is by covering… this “covering” is probably where they derived “thin vapor” and “firmament” in the H7834 definition in the previous verse (Psalm 68:34).
Time-frame: PAST. In 31 AD when Jesus ascended into heaven after His resurrection.
I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.Daniel 7:13 (KJV)
Sidenote: No one “brought” Jesus to God in this verse — in the Hebrew, this verse says that Jesus “came to the Ancient of days/time and drew near His presence,” meaning He sat at His right hand. Jesus did not require an escort.
Here we see the power and might of Jesus arriving in heaven. He sat as King at the right hand of the Father and acts as Judge over those on the earth. His is an indestructible kingdom. Jesus’ reign over all creation has begun, and He reigns with a rod of iron (Revelation 2:27, 12:5, 19:15) — this same rod is a comfort to the saints (Psalm 23:4). So here we see the most ultimate of power having came with the clouds.
The word clouds here is ‛ănan — Strong’s H6050:
(Chaldee); corresponding to H6051: – cloud.
New Testament Clouds
The next 6 verses are the New Testament uses of clouds, and they are all the same Strong’s word — G3507:
From G3509 (“cloud”); properly cloudiness, that is, (concretely) a cloud: – cloud.
Time-frame: PAST. This event occurred from 66-70 AD and was Jesus’ second coming. There is still a future coming when Jesus will return as the Bridegroom, and the Almighty God will come in wrath to end this entire world, as has been the pattern of the Holy Elohim/Theos in the past (details here).
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.Matthew 24:30 (KJV)
This is where Jesus took out His wrath on those who pierced Him at Calvary (Revelation 1:7). Matthew 24 is referring to the total destruction of the city of Jerusalem, the 2nd temple, and the Jewish government which was carried out by the Roman Army from late-66 to early-70 AD. Jesus’ wrath lasted 3 1/2 years and abolished the Old Covenant and replaced it with the New Covenant… He fulfilled the stone tablet commandments/laws and made them spiritual which are now written on our renewed heart of flesh.
Jesus’ SPIRIT came in 66 AD just like He will come at His future coming, in SPIRIT. Jesus’ power was seen in the clouds, but He worked through the Roman Army. The Spirit power of the Almighty God will again use men to destroy the wicked, then the righteousness of His coming will completely destroy the earth. God and Jesus have always used human men and weather events to carry out their wrath on earth.
Sidenote: Evil spiritual principalities can only work through men’s bodies when they are allowed control/given ground in our lives — they cannot affect nature. The Holy Elohim works among men AND through nature. [For a study on how spiritual principalities works through mankind, see this article.]
Time-frame: PAST. 31 AD. This was Jesus announcing that He would soon be reigning at the right hand of God. This passage mirrors Mark 14:62.
Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.Matthew 26:64 (KJV)
Jesus made this statement to the council of high priests/Sanhedrin, scribes and elders. They were infuriated and called Jesus a blasphemer because they believed that only God came in the clouds of heaven.
Time-frame: PAST. This passage mirrors Matthew 24:30 and Luke 21:27. It is describing Jesus’ 3 1/2 year wrath on Jerusalem and the Jews from late-66 to early-70 AD.
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.Mark 13:26 (KJV)
Jesus came in spirit and used the Roman Army to destroy the city of Jerusalem, the 2nd temple and the Jewish government. Jesus destroyed those who literally pierced Him (Revelation 1:7).
Time-frame: PAST. In 31 AD. This passage mirrors Matthew 26:64. This was Jesus announcing that He would soon be reigning at the right hand of God.
And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.Mark 14:62 (KJV)
Jesus was accused of blasphemy for making this statement to the Jewish Sanhedrin because they believed that only God could come in the clouds of heaven.
Time-frame: PAST. Mirror passages are Matthew 24:30 and Mark 13:26. This is the Jerusalem destruction — Jesus’ 3 1/2 year wrath — from late-66 to early-70 AD.
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.Luke 21:27 (KJV)
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
Time-frame: FUTURE. Of all the “clouds” passages, this is the only one that has yet to be fulfilled. This is the future THIRD coming of the Holy Elohim, Jesus as the bridegroom and the vengeance of God the Almighty. Hallelujah!
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (KJV)
Here, we see the dead in Christ “standing up first” — they are already with Christ in the spiritual realm; we immediately go into the presence of the Lord upon our physical death (2 Corinthians 5:8, Philippians 1:23). Their spirits will come WITH Jesus into the earth’s atmosphere to catch up the spirits of the living saints to them.
There is no recording in scripture of the spirits of the living saints having been caught up in the clouds. In fact, John the apostle was the only disciple still living after the 70 AD destruction of Jerusalem and the 2nd temple. John would not have been here to write the Gospel of John post-70 if his spirit had been caught up in the clouds.
When Jesus APPEARS (1 Thes. 4):
- He appears in the heavens
- As a Deliverer
- FOR the Church
- With love and compassion
- As the bridegroom
When Jesus/God RETURNS (Rev. 19):
- Returns to earth as wrath
- As a Warrior
- WITH the Church
- With wrath and vengeance
- As the King of Kings
Both Jesus’ appearing and His return occurs on the LAST day at the LAST trump (details here) — this occurred to the region/land/earth in late-66 AD. However, there is also a future appearance and return of Theos to fulfill the end of the entire elemental earth/kosmos, as we see it has happened before in Genesis 1:2 (details here). The elect will NEVER experience God’s wrath.
Time-frame: PAST. Revelation was written in the early 60’s AD (details here). Verses 1:5-8 is describing Jesus’ reign having begun, and Jesus’ 3 1/2 year wrath on those who pierced Him — this was the destruction of Jerusalem, of the 2nd temple and of the Jewish government by the Roman Army in late-66 to early-70 AD.
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.Revelation 1:7 (KJV)
In Revelation 1:5-8, written around 60 AD, John is warning the church of the coming wrath of Jesus in late-66 AD, when the “earth” shall wail — that word “earth” in the Greek is G1093, defined as “soil, region, land.” He is talking about the city of Jerusalem and the land surrounding it — their region; not the entire earth.
Coming On / With / In The Clouds
After this study, I can clearly see that Jesus’ infallible eternal “body” is spiritual. His power is no longer seen on earth as a man, but as turbulent clouds, lightning and thunder. God is Spirit (John 4:24) so Jesus is Spirit also.
When Jesus “returns like a thief” soon, our human eyes will see clouds and our spirit will separate from the carnal flesh body and will be caught up into them (see Soul vs. Spirit). Jesus, along with the saints who previously died on earth, will be in the clouds coming with power and great glory to catch up the spirits of the living saints so they may escape God’s wrath on the earth.
The dead saints “rise first” because their spirits are already in heaven celebrating the Revelation 20 Thousand Years with Jesus Christ, and we are simultaneously celebrating in the spiritual kingdom while in this earthly realm (see “Millennial Reign” – The Thousand Years). Those in Christ who die during this Church Age are joining the Old Testament saints in heaven upon their physical death. We see this growing multitude three times in Revelation — chapter 7, 14:1-5, 15:5-8. We know this as fact because Jesus told the man on the cross that he would be with Him upon His death (Luke 23:43) — God is a God of the living… His righteous seed never dies, even upon our physical death (Matthew 22:32).
The 70 AD Second Coming Explained
Jesus’ FIRST coming was in 31 AD after His resurrection and ascension… He returned back to earth in renewed flesh and dwelt here for 40 days (Matthew 28, Mark 16, Luke 24).
Jesus’ SECOND coming was from late-66 to early-70 AD and was His wrath on those who pierced Him (Revelation 1:7). He returned as a warrior (Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 17 & 21).
In late-66 AD, Jesus moved Roman General Cestius to siege the suburbs outside the city limits of Jerusalem. His army setup a camp and stayed several days. This was the “abomination that desolates” — God’s people were told when they saw the army standing where it ought not, they were to flee into the mountains.
After Cestius had established the military camp, his next move was to take the temple. The Jews revolted and went after the Romans outside the city — Cestius felt he would be overpowered, so he abandoned his mission, releasing the army’s control of the suburbs.
When Cestius left the area, God’s people moved to the mountains. They escaped the wrath of Jesus that fell on the House of Jacob/Israel and not a hair on their head was harmed.
Cestius abandoning his mission was considered a loss to the Jews in Emperor Nero’s eyes, so General Cestius was replaced with Vespasian in 66 AD. As General, Vespasian did not attack the Jews; rather, the Jews were having a horrible civil war among themselves.
When Nero committed suicide on June 9, 68 AD to escape the judgment of the Roman Senate, Vespasian became the Emperor. He then appointed his son, Titus, as General of the army, who did not attack the Jews until late-69 AD.
The Jews were extremely unnerved by Cestius’ presence outside the city, and they had already been upset since the cross when physically dead people rose from their graves and walked through the cities, there were massive earthquakes, and day turned to night for 3 hours. There was great political tumult among the Jews and they had split up into 4 groups.
Chabad.org states that “the Jewish factions crystallized into four sects:”
- “The Pharisees were the led by the rabbis and Sanhedrin (rabbinical supreme court). The word “Pharisees” comes from the Hebrew word perushim, “separatists.” There are various views as to the etymology of this word. One explanation is that they separated themselves from the follies and pleasure of the world. Another is that they were careful to maintain ritual purity, and separated themselves from those who did not strictly observe these laws.” The Pharisees were the ones who demanded Jesus be cricified — they were self-righteous men with hearts of stone.
- “The Sadducees rejected the Oral Torah and the leadership of the rabbis. Many of them were rich priests and they took control of the priesthood, sometimes buying their way into the office of High Priest. Those who wanted to befriend the Romans were mostly Sadducees.”
- “The Zealots were passionate nationalists who broke away from the Pharisees because they wanted to fight the Romans at all costs, while the Pharisees hesitated. (Although the Pharisees too wanted to be free of Roman rule, they thought it wiser to pursue peace. They feared the Roman reprisals to a no-holds-barred revolt would destroy the nation.)”
- “The Sicarii were against any form of government altogether. “Sicarii” literally means “dagger-men.” They resorted to stealth and terrorism to achieve their objectives. They would carry small daggers under their cloaks and stab their enemies – Romans or Roman sympathizers, often wealthy Jews and elites associated with the priesthood – and then blend into the crowd. (In contrast, the Zealots aimed their violence against Romans.)”
A bloody, horrible civil war raged between the 4 Jewish groups. The Zealots burned Jerusalem’s 21-year supply of oil, wheat and wood and starved the people in the city. If they tried to flee, they would be beheaded on the spot by the Romans. They ended up eating their own children, horses, even the horse saddles and all leather in the city.
When Titus saw that a huge number of the Jews had died from starvation, and the others were extremely weak, he moved his cannons to the wall and began attacking the city in late-69 AD. Five months later, they finally made it into the city and breached the temple.
Titus did not want the temple burned down; rather, he wanted to control it. But word had not gone out to all the soldiers and one of them threw a torch onto the tapestries that hung in the temple and it all went up in flames. The gory, bloody scene that followed in the temple is one of the most horrible in world history. It is recorded that even the marble and stone were burning for more than a day — Jesus’ wrath was then complete.
Wikipedia: The Second Temple
The stone of God’s kingdom, Jesus Christ, ended the old heaven (temple/Sanhedrin) and the old earth (Jews under the law) when He fulfilled the Old Covenant with the New Covenant (details here). We are now in the new heaven (God’s kingdom) and new earth (redeemed saints under grace) which is God’s spiritual kingdom that is within us (details here). The stone of God’s kingdom came not with observation in 31 AD (Luke 17:20-21, info here). We are in the thousand years during this church age, and the Old Testament saints are having their 1000-year reign in the heavenly spiritual realm (see “Millennial Reign” – The Thousand Years).
The Future, Final Coming of Christ
The Future Coming of God in wrath and Jesus as the bridegroom is found in 3 passages in Scripture:
- 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
- 1 Corinthians 15:22-26
- Revelation 20:7-10
We covered above that 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 is future.
1 Corinthians 15:22-26 is future also — we see this clearly when read along with the Thayer’s and Strong’s Dictionaries in eSword [brackets are mine]. It says:
22For as in Adam, all die; even so in Christ, all Adam shall live. 23But each Adam/man in his own order: [First,] Christ, [second,] the firstfruits [Old Testament saints]; THEREAFTER those anointed by His coming/presence [in the Church Age]. (See how they hide the resurrection of the Old Testament saints and Jesus’ second coming having already occurred? God is listing Adam order here, nothing spiritual.)
24AFTER that, the end, when He delivers up the [earthly] kingdom to God also the Father; as soon as He puts an end to the whole beginning [entire immovable globe] and all authority and power. (Jesus is the beginning and the end – Revelation 22:13.)
25For He must reign until He puts all enemies under His feet. 26The last enemy that ceases to exist is death [both physical and spiritual death].
The beginning of Adam/mankind is this entire elemental world, and it and all Adam in it will end. We know it isn’t the Old Covenant law ending here because Jesus said He came not to abolish it, but to fulfill it (Matthew 5:17). This passage is FUTURE and is referring to the destruction of mankind and the entire earth, which scripture tells us has happened before (details here).
Revelation 20:7-10 explains the very end of this entire world/kosmos:
- The thousand years are this church age.
- Gog is Satan and Magog are the wicked men who are controlled by him and serve him.
- They will turn the entire world against the true set-apart saints.
- They will surround the camp (their bodies; meeting places) of the saints.
- They will surround the beloved city of new Jerusalem which is the spiritually-renewed hearts of the redeemed.
- God will devour the wicked men with fire.
- The devil will be cast into the lake of fire where the beast and false prophet already are (they were thrown in at Jesus’ second coming in 66-70 AD, along with the fallen angels who were being held for judgment on that last day of the Old Covenant — 2 Peter 2:4).
I am still un-learning the teachings of seminary school men because their stories were causing me to interpret Scripture to fit the narrative they gave me. When you really examine and meditate over these verses in prayer, and you have just a little knowledge of earth’s history, the Bible just opens up in a whole new way…. with Truth, the spiritual kingdom becomes so real and clear to see with the eyes of our heart.
Multiple Comings Explained
I want to include this comparison here to help tie-up any loose ends that may be in your study.
Most people do not realize that the phrase “second coming” is nowhere to be found in scripture, and it certainly isn’t the final coming. That’s another Jesuit-created lie of bible doctrine to cover up the fact that Jesus destroyed the apostate Jews in 70 AD. The Holy Elohim/Theos will return THREE times before it’s all over.
Jesus’ first coming was in renewed flesh after His resurrection. This was a physical coming. He came to confirm the New Covenant. He dwelt here for 40 days, then the Holy Spirit came to earth on Pentecost on day 50.
Jesus’ second coming was in the Spirit, not in a renewed flesh body, and He came as a warrior. This is when He took out His wrath on those who literally pierced Him (Revelation 1:7). It was the 42-month wrath on the literal House of Jacob/Israel from late-66 to early-70 AD, which followed the Great Tribulation from early-63 to late-66 AD (details here — The Jewish-Roman War & the Two Witnesses in the Great Tribulation).
The third coming will be God’s wrath on the whole earth (1 Corinthians 15:22-26). The spirits of the living will be caught up in the twinkling of an eye because they are not appointed to God’s wrath (1 Thessalonians 5:9). God will be coming to completely destroy this entire earth again. I say again because a “destroyed, wasted, empty earth” was already here BEFORE our current creation (info here), so God does indeed have a pattern of destroying the entire world once it is completely controlled by evil, and we can clearly see that rapidly approaching on a worldwide scale (details in this article).
When we are “changed in the twinkling of an eye,” that means we will shed our carnal flesh and leave it right here on earth, then our spirits will go up to meet the Lord and the saints’ spirits in the clouds. I do believe the wicked are going to see the bodies of the true elect lying dead all over this earth, and will try to hide the “catching away” by saying it’s some kind of pandemic. Jesus’ “DAY of wrath” in 66 AD lasted 42 MONTHS, so the world’s final “day” isn’t likely to be just 24 hours…. this makes a “pre-trib” type rapture sound plausible when we see that the last DAY is actually 3 1/2 YEARS! It is actually a pre-wrath rapture…. tribulation we will go through on this earth; God’s wrath will we not experience.
Some claim this earth will not be destroyed again, that it is not documented in scripture; however, Genesis 1:2 is proof it’s been destroyed before (info here). Then they say that the “earth” or “land” will be destroyed by fire and brimstone and that happened in 70 AD, so the earth has already been destroyed by fire. However, Lot was sent away from Sodom and Gomorrah before it was destroyed by fire and brimstone, then it happened again to Jerusalem in 70 AD, so who is to say it won’t happen again? Genesis 1:2 tells us it WILL happen again on a worldwide scale. God is magnificent and He’s created more than once already so will surely create again!

Tribulation versus Wrath
Tribulation is something that happens to God’s set-apart saints. It comes by way of wicked men. “Through much tribulation do we enter the kingdom of God” (Acts 14:22).
The recorded tribulations of the saints are as follows:
- Early-63 to late-66 AD: The Jewish Sanhedrin was slaughtering Christians during this period of the Two Witnesses who were Peter and Paul, the law and the prophets. Many were coming to Christ during this time and were being arrested for refusing the literal mark of the beast, held in prison for 10 days, then beheaded (for details, see The Jewish-Roman War & Two Witnesses study).
- 70-313 AD: The Roman Emperors slaughtered Christians off and on during this time. It was stopped by Emperor Constantine.
- 530-1798 AD: The Jewish-Roman kingdom headed by the Papacy took revenge on Jesus for His 70 AD wrath by torturing and slaughtering tens of millions f saints. God’s future wrath will return their heinous acts to them and end their world kingdom.
- Present and Future: Ask any born-again believer if we have ever suffered tribulation. God’s refining fire happens for us while we are on this earth so we may, through our faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ, escape the lake of fire (see God Created Evil).
Wrath is different from the saints’ tribulation. Wrath is an act of God which He carries out on evil men.
The recorded wrath-of-God events on the wicked are as follows:
- Old Testament accounts: Scripture says the “hills melted like wax” which was God coming in wrath to the earth during the Old Testament era to destroy the wicked who were the enemies of His people. We know “hills” is metaphorical for peoples or nations in power in the New Testament, but there are three recorded literal events in the Old Testament: Judges 5:4-7; Psalms 46:2-3, 6, 8; Psalms 97:3-5, 12. Details and photos here: The Hills Melted Like Wax.
- Late-66 to early-70 AD: This was Jesus’ wrath on those who literally pierced Him (Revelation 1:7). Jesus came in the clouds as a warrior and empowered the Roman Army to end the apostate Jewish rule. In turn, the Roman Empire was then taken down by Arabs in 476 AD.
- Present: There is no wrath for the unrepentant believer on this earth during this church age. The wicked are allowed to do wickedly (Revelation 22:11-13) because this earth and its vanity is their only reward (Psalm 91:8). Their earthly works will heap coals of fire upon their heads when their spirits are raised to stand before the great white throne judgment (Revelation 20:11-15).
- Future: Father God and Jesus and His saints return united as a warrior to pour out His wrath on the earth, ending Satan’s Jewish-Roman world kingdom for good.
For the Full Story….
…..see this study: The Jewish-Roman War & the Two Witnesses in the Great Tribulation. It covers the 7-year tribulation and wrath period from early-63 to early-70 AD which includes the second coming of Jesus Christ in late-66 AD. Explanations are given for all of the seals, trumpets and bowls/vials which happened over this 7-year period. It’s a remarkable historical account that can place Peter and Paul as the Two Witnesses carrying out the seals and trumpets for the first 3 1/2 years. The interpretation is my own, based on my own studies of Scripture and history — sources are provided within the study.
We can’t read the Bible and apply it however we wish. Some passages describe events that happened to our brethren who came before us. The proofs of what has already been fulfilled shows the development of Messiah’s kingdom on earth during this church age (details here and here). Every prophetical account does not apply only to us, the generation who is alive at Jesus’ final coming. A great deal has been happening over the past 1,900+ years!
Much love, peace and blessings to you in Christ Jesus!
