Our Calendars Have Been Corrupted

A wealthy Jewish man (who was familiar with the 10 commandments) asked Jesus what he must do to possess eternal life.
Jesus said, “Keep the commandments.”
The man asked Him, “Which?”
Jesus answered, “Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”
The man said he had kept all those commandments since he was a child, so he asked what does he still lack in order to receive eternal life?
Jesus answered, “If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me” (Matthew 19:16-21). For those of us who are not wealthy, Jesus commanded us to die to self, take up our cross daily and follow Him (Luke 9:23).
There were 4 of the 10 commandments that Jesus did not command that we follow:
- Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
- Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.
- Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
- Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.
Why were these left out? Because Jesus gave us 2 commandments. He said the FIRST commandment is “thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength” (Matthew 22:36-38) which covers the first 3 stone commandments.
Jesus Christ IS the 4th commandment on the stone tablets. These stone commandments were made spiritual at the cross and are now written on the fleshy tables of our hearts which are new Jerusalem (2 Corinthians 3:3, Rev. 21:1-3).
Jesus’ second and last commandment fulfills stone commandments 5-10 which deals with how we relate to other people. Jesus commanded us to love our enemies and love our neighbor as ourselves – Matthew 22:39.
“ON THESE TWO COMMANDS HANG ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS” — Matthew 22:40.
Please read that verse again: ALL THE LAW HANGS ON THE TWO COMMANDMENTS OF JESUS. The law is now the Word of God (Jesus), and the prophets are the spiritual church of Christ/the called-out redeemed who hold the testimony of His saving grace.
2 Corinthians 3:3 says:
You show that you are a letter from Christ, delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

THE SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD IS NOT ON TABLETS OF STONE BUT ON TABLETS OF HUMAN HEARTS.
Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath
Jesus told us He is Lord of the Sabbath. Shabbat means “rest.” JESUS IS LORD OF THE REST WHICH IS THE HOLY SPIRIT FROM GOD (Hebrews 4). Jesus said, “I tell you that something greater than the temple is here. If you had known what these words mean, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent. For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath” (Matthew 12:6-8). I know many Christians who are condemning the innocent who are their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. 17 These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.

Amazingly, there are Christians who completely discount the above verse which is denying the teachings of the entire New Testament and refusing the teachings of Jesus Christ. Worse, they consider those who get up from their recliner on a Saturday as not being of the brethren, and go so far as to say that having church on Sundays is the mark of the beast (see this article).
Or Christians will twist the above verse and say that people will judge them BECAUSE they are observing Saturday according to the stone tablet commandment. But the verse CLEARLY says the stone tablet commandment is the shadow of Jesus who is the stone’s substance — the substance of Christ turned stone to flesh. Come out of the shadow and into His rest.
Jesus told us He came to FULFILL THE LAW (Matthew 5:17) for by Him, we have access by one Spirit unto the Father (Ephesians 2:18). Jesus IS the Sabbath day (and EVERY day). We now have access to Father every day of the week.
Jesus did not abolish the Sabbath.
Jesus did not change the Sabbath.
Jesus fulfilled the Sabbath once and for all by baptizing us by His shed blood into sabbatismos/His rest (Hebrews 4:9).
Note: In Hebrews chapter 4, every use of the word “rest” is G2663, except for one time — the word ‘rest’ in verse 9 is G4520 and is the only time in all of Scripture that the word is used. It is the FULFILLING of the stone-tablet Shabbat because Jesus is now our high priest (Hebrews 4:14-16). It further explains that if we have no faith in the sabbatismos through Jesus Christ, then we are in unbelief (Hebrews 4:11). We are to be diligent to enter into Jesus’ rest and to cease doing it by our own works (Hebrews 4:10).
The Church Age is ONE Sabbath
Look at Matthew 28:1 in most modern-day English translations and you will see that they omitted a phrase which explains that the entire church age is one Sabbath rest. The KJV reads:
“In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.”
Sidenote for all Sunday church-goers: This KJV verse, as translated to English by Catholics and Calvinists in 1611, clearly explains that Jesus rose from the grave on a Saturday Sabbath — HE DID NOT RISE ON A SUNDAY, proof here (their day began at 6am and Jesus was already gone). You attend Sunday church because your denomination is following the seat of Satan’s throne, the Papacy, who curses Jesus Christ by keeping Him hanging on a cross (Galatians 3:13) — click here for proof. So while it’s acceptable to hold church meetings on ANY day of the week, you do NOT attend on Sunday because it’s the day Jesus arose — you attend according to the Papacy’s direction.
The phrase “the first day of the week” actually reads “to one Sabbath.” Here is a screenshot of it in the original Greek:
You will notice the words first, day and week are not in the verse AT ALL.
In the original Greek text, Matthew 28:1 reads:
“Late in the day also the Sabbath it began to dawn to ONE SABBATH, come Mary the female Magdalene and the other Mary to be a spectator of the grave.”
This verse is clearly stating that toward the end of the Sabbath day, it began to dawn to ONE Sabbath. The word “one” here is a primary numeral and does NOT mean “first” which is “before” or “at the beginning.” One is ONE. No more plural Sabbaths.
Please read that previous paragraph again. People are reading this article but still staunchly claiming that the word “one” in Matthew 28:1 means “first” or “beginning,” but that is absolutely NOT TRUE. It is a PRIMARY NUMERAL which is a number and not a description!
The entire church age is now one Sabbath for those baptized in the blood of Jesus. It’s one spiritual rest in Jesus Christ; no longer a one-day-a-week physical rest without our Messiah.
Note: Interlinears have both words sabbaton/Sabbath in this verse as plurals, but obviously in context the words do not read “Sabbaths” in both places. Both words are genitive which means they show possession. This could be “Sabbath’s evening” or “one Sabbath’s dawn,” or maybe they’re plural because two Sabbaths occurred in the same week. But there is an argument that the plural here isn’t even correct — that argument can be found here. It does not change my interpretation above. One is a primary numeral here, so it dawned unto ONE Sabbath or the one Sabbath’s dawn.
The Calendars Were Changed
God’s calendar was the Lunisolar Calendar where Sabbaths were NOT JUST ON SATURDAY (proofs here). Scripture clearly defines a pattern of Sabbaths that fall on the 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th of the Biblical month; which can only happen on a Lunisolar Calendar. Details HERE.
I finally found a definitive answer as to when the Hebrew Calendar, also called the Jewish Calendar, came into existence. It was 358 AD!! (source here, 4th paragraph). So the people under the Old Covenant were still using God’s Lunisolar Calendar for their holidays and observances during Jesus’ day. This further confirms that Sabbaths were NOT always on a Saturday.
The truth is deeply hidden due to the antichrist Papacy who admitted to changing God’s Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday as a mark of their authority (details here). However, this is reverse psychology to get stone-law Sabbath-keepers to still be keeping the wrong day for the Sabbath.. it’s NOT every Saturday NOR every Sunday!
This is why God tells His children not to judge or be judged concerning the observance of any holy day (Colossians 2:16-17). All things of this physical elemental earth are corrupted by evil, including our calendars.
Fallen Man Can’t Do It Right
Before the cross, the only access to God that was available to the people was through physical actions on Shabbat: Not leaving their home, not walking more than so many feet, not cooking, not picking up sticks, not causing another (man or beast) to expend energy/do anything physical, the Levite priests shedding the blood of innocent animals, etc.
Yet people now “observe the Saturday Sabbath” by hiking, taking long walks in nature, picking flowers, powering up a computer/expending energy, driving to church or to the park…. ALL FORBIDDEN in the old covenant observance of Shabbat.
So how are people calling themselves “Sabbath observers” according to the stone tablet commandment when they are not following the rules of the stone tablet Sabbath observance AT ALL? They are following man’s rules; not God’s. And feeling more self-righteous than their fellow brethren who understand the teachings of Jesus Christ and Paul.
JESUS DID NOT TELL US TO OBSERVE A SABBATH DAY. The church age is ONE SABBATH because ONLY JESUS CAN MAKE A DAY HOLY.
Fallen man’s cursed hands and efforts CANNOT FOLLOW THE LAW (Romans 2:12). NO ONE is actually keeping God’s true Sabbath days (info here). Since the cross, “it is not of him that runneth, but of God who sheweth mercy” (Romans 9:16). “If it be of works, then it is no more grace” (Romans 11:6). We now worship and serve God with our renewed hearts and Spirit-fruits (explanation here).
If one cannot accept that Jesus FULFILLED the old physical rituals of the law, then they will be judged by the law which no man can measure up to (Romans 2:12). God sees our spiritual hearts which are New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:1-3).
God is Spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.

We are indwelt with the Holy Spirit 24/7/365…. in all of my days, I am at rest in Christ Jesus who asked of the Father to send me the Comforter who will be with me forever (John 14:16). We are now in the spiritual kingdom of God every second of every day. Amen.
